Medium Bulge, Pain On Inguinal Area, Appears During Movement. Possibility Of Failed Hernia Operation. Solution?
Have possible failed inguinal hernia operation from 9yrs ago. medium bulge on rightside of inguinal area. able to push back in, but movement during day causes the bulge to reappear. some continual pain at site of bulge. Dr. said nothing can be done because of previous operation which was done the suture method. Been dealing with problem for about 2yrs & bulge/pain is slowly getting worse. Thank You! dhp
As you may be aware that there is no medical treatment for hernia and it has to be treated surgically. So it may be better if you can go for a second opinion. Now there are minimal invasive procedures available which can help to treat your condition.
Hi ! Most probably you have got a recurrent right inguinal hernia, and this has to be dealt with a repeat surgery. Now a days, recurrent hernias are dealt effectively by laporoscopic hernia repair by those who are familiar with this surgery. I would suggest you to consult a general surgeon/lapoaroscopic surgeon, who can give you best possible advice on the surgery. Take care.
