Met Accident, Injured Head, Eyes Black. What Can Be Done?

My son was in an accident this past Sunday night, four nights ago. He has a area on top of his head that isn t cut but looks like a serious rug burn right on top. He s been to the Emergency room and his family physician. This evening I noticed his eyes, they both have dark circles around them. Would further testing need be done to ensure he s okay? No one has done like a CT or anything of his neck or head thus far. I m worried about him. He s 27 years old.

Hello,
Thanks for the query.

Blackening around the eyes after skull injury occurs due to internal bleed.

Mostly due to skull fracture.

A further investigation like CT scan is must.

The investigation should be done urgently,

Delay can worsen the situation.

Let me know if you have any other doubt.

You can ask me a direct query on this forum following the below link.
