Mild Acute Pancreatitis, Recent USG States Heterogeneous Pancreas Invisible Tail Due To Gas. What Should Be Done?

I had mild acute pancreatitis 4 months ago. A recent USG report states: The visiualised pancreas is heterogenous, with its tail not well seen due to overlying bowel gas. No discrete panreatic lesions are evident Should I have a follow up? My GP recommended another USG in 6 months or so, but no action at present. Should I get a second opinion?

Welcome to HCM
Acute Pancreatitis is mostly seen in persons taking Alcohol,so I hope at least now you are not taking Alcohol.
Follow up of Pancreatitis is important so kindly follow the instructions, as far as report of USG is conceren it is OK some times due to gas present in intestines part is not seen well.
What about the blood reports Serum Amylase and serum Lipase levels if they are normal wait and watch policy may be suitable answer.
A CT Scan of abdomen gives good information about Pancreas if it can be done easily you may go for it with consultation of Gastroenterologist/GP.
