Mild Spotting Occasionally, Pms Out Of Control. Taking Lisinopril. Advise?
I've been taking Lisinopril for over a year now but i was skipping doses. Two months ago I started taking them daily as directed to reduce a dangerous spike in HBP. My pressure is down to normal however i have stopped menstrating. I get mild spotting from time to time but no real flow. My PMS is out of control though. Can Lisinopril cause hormone imbalance in women?
Several side effects have been attributed to Angiotensin Converting Enzyme Inhibitors as a class / and Lisinopril as a part of it. But this does not appear to be one!...You have not stated your personal habits, family history or co-morbidities, even age...which could have an influence on the diagnosis and outcome... A simple solution is to see your Internist and change to a different class of drug altogether. You may also consult your Gynaecologist for the flow related issues... If you insist to know....I presume you are from US? - you can call FDA at 1-800-FDA-1088 to know more about the drug.
Take care Wishing speedy recovery God bless Good luck
