Hello and welcome to HCM.
Thank you for your query.
I have gone through your query, and from your description there are a few possibilities to consider, they are:
-Ectopic
pregnancy (this is a very rare occurrence but has been seen in a few patients with
tubal ligation, it is considered an emergency and so I would recommend and immediate
transvaginal ultrasound [TVS],
pregnancy tests will report a positive test, but not as strongly positive as it would be with a normal pregnancy)
-Infections: Both pinkish and brownish discharge can in fact be associated with infections which are one of the most common causes for delayed periods. You will have to visit your doctor, and get physically examined, provide your urine sample for testing and may be even get a vaginal swab examined in the laboratory
-This could also be a
hormonal change, which can be brought about by
menopause, you are on the cusp of the usual age for menopause, so this delay in periods could purely have a hormonal cause; but in such a scenario you should be expecting your periods anytime
In the meantime, please abstain from all forms of sexual contact, and kindly visit your doctor at the earliest to find the cause for the same.
I hope I have succeeded in providing the information you were looking for. Please feel free to write back to me for any further clarifications at: http://doctor.healthcaremagic.com/doctors/dr-shoaib-khan/64581 . I would gladly help you.
Best wishes.
