Missed Periods Even After Taking Duphaston For 5 Days. Pregnancy Test Negative. Thoughts?

hii doctor..im not getting my date since aug 21.i went to doctor ,she took pregnancy test it came as negative.im effected by pcos.she suggested duphaston for me..i used it for 5 days. i stoped using it from last saturday..tilnow im not getting my date today is 4th day of stoping duphaston..please reply me what happend to me

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The cause for the mesntrual irregularity is the PCOD. Duphaston is prescribed to help get your period. The pill is prescribed for 5 or 10 days, and once discontinuing the medication, a withdrawal bleed should be seen within 3-7 days. Yours is still only the 4th day. Some women also experience the bleeding after 15 days or so.

So please be patient and report to your doctor if you do not experience the bleed even after 25-30 days after discontinuing the medication.
