Hello, I am a 20 year old female and I have a musty ordor on the crease of my legs near vagina . The smell comes when I sweat a lot or if I m under the blankets for too long. It goes away when I shower but still comes back. It s like the smell is deep down under my skin. I shower twice a day. My vagibal discharge is thick white. Sometimes lite yellow. I was treated for yeast infection but I feel like I was diagonsis wrong. Please help!
Hi, areas of our body like creases of the legs have a tendency to remain moist due to sweat accumulation and that increases the risk of fungal infections. A musty odor from the creases of legs with a previous history of yeast infection points towards the likelihood of fungal skin infection in your case. Application of either antifungal ointment or powders on the affected area will treat the infection. But to prevent the infection from persisting or recurring you also need to keep the affected area dry. Wear loose fitting and cotton fabrics which let the skin breath and help keep it dry. These measures should help heal your infection.
