My 5 Years Old Son's Penis Hurts After Appendectomy Surgery
My 5 year old son had an acute appendectomy 3 days ago. The surgeon said that his appendix was stuck behind his intestines and colon. There was also alot of pus that the surgeon had to clean out. He is now complaining of his penis hurting. Is this normal? There is no fever and he is currently on antibiotics and tylenol with codeine. Thanks

Thanks for query,
As due to acute attach of appendix,might be due to rupture of appendix there was peritonitis might have given some urinary infection causing this problem,but nothing to worry as he is on antibiotic medicines which will take care of this infection too.
Give plenty of water.

Certain post appendectomy side effects& complication is know phenomenon.Hurting penis post appendectomy is rare unless he has been catheterized.It will subside with in few days ,there is nothing to worry.
