Hi....at this age kids keep everything in mouth and this might cause diarrhea. But this type of illness usually starts with vomiting only.... Later on diarrhea will start. Unless the kid s having low urine output or very dull or excessively sleepy or blood in motion or green bilious vomiting...you need not worry. Antibiotics like ofloxacin and metronidazole might worsen if unnecessarily used causing antibiotic associated diarrhea. I suggest you use zinc supplements & ORS... For vomiting you can use Domperidon or Ondanisetron as suggested by your pediatrician. Hope my answer was helpful for you. Happy to help anytime.
