My Daughter Takes More Time To Do Homework And Dropped All Of Her Extra Curricular Activities. Is She Having ADHD/ADD?

i HAVE A 11 YEAR OLD WHO USED TO BE VERY ACTIVE UNTILL GARDE SIX NOW HER TIME IS CONSUMED WITH HOME WORK. SHE TAKES SOMETIME 4 HOURS TO COMPLETE HER HOME WORK SO SHE DROPPED OUT OF ALL THE EXTRA CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES. i AM JUST WONDERING WHETEHR SHE HAS ADHD/ADD. HOW CAN I HELP HER?

Thanks and welcome toHCM.
Not only your daughter, most of the children have the same problem.
Now a days most of the private schools have vast syllabus and they give huge home work.
Better you help your child in completing her home work early and allow her time for extra curricular activities .
She will definitely pickup and come to your expectation
Only you have to encourage her and appreciate her efforts often.
Do not blame her if she does not get a good score or finish her home work in time.
If after putting your efforts, still she is as before then you may consult a psychiatrist.
Do not stamp her as ADHD or otherwise in a hurry.
