Is Hospice Care A Suitable Decision For End Stage Liver Cirrhosis, Severe Ascites, Encephalopathy, And Unstable Blood Sugar?

My husband is at end stage liver cirrhosis. He has been in the hospital 5 times in 5 months. He had encephalopathy and had to go through all the harsh treatments. He also has diabetes that was getting over 600 now we have to watch it because it will get around 43 at times. He has ascites really bad and has had paracentesis several times. He now has a denver shunt but it can t keep up so more paracentesis was needed. He was falling a lot while I was working. He had to have stitches because of that. He started having seizures but we think it may be from the sugar being so low. Well we decided to put him on hospice and I just hope we made the right decision.
