My Mom Has A Very Diabetes Even She Is Very Thin

my mom is a diabetes patient, she gt a urine infection, and got fever for many days. her temp always like 103 to 104 degree. n diabetes is very high even she is very thin and couldn t eat much. plz suggest what we can do know.

Blood sugar and infection are interrelated. Higher the blood sugar, higher the chance of infections. Similarly, blood sugars can get drastically abnormal in times of acute infection. Hence it’s important that both control of blood sugars and treatment of infection go side by side…
Insulin is the most effective anti-diabetic drug and can be used for sugar control the time of infection. At the same time, adequate urinary tract infection treatment using appropriate antibiotic course is essential.
Hospitalisation may be necessary if dietary intake is affected grossly and if fever is persistently high..
