My Poo Smelled Like Acid/vinegar, Kindly Suggest
my 16 month old has has some constipation & foul vinegar/acid smelling poos for about 5 days. She has also been quite grizzly & clingy so she may be in pain. I thought it may be teething , but I m not not sure as no teeth are appearing. Any advice on what could be causing the foul smell? should i take her to a doctor?

Change in stool consistency for 5 days. There is a need to worry. Kindly see a paediatrician.

Painful constipation needs medication. If the stool is hard, there could be bleeding from the rectum as well. Children often have foul smelling stool/diarrhoea esp during teething/dentition, nothing to worry. Did you make any changes in his food? Visit his pediatrician for constipation med, or you can see a homeopath for the same.
