My Pregnancy Was Positive And I Had My Abortion With Misoprostal BP 200mcg...

Hi!
It seems to be more clear for sure. My usual period date was 4th date of month but this time things didn't happen as usual. On 5th November I had a pregnancy test with test kit though intercourse happened on 15th October. I found my result positive. Here clinical abortion isn't authorized so I had an abortion procedure with abortion pill Isovent 200mcg (Misoprostal BP). According to the pharmacist, I have to take 2 vaginally and one orally (400mcg vaginally and 200mcg orally). But I didn't take the oral one. After using that, 8 hours later my period started with heavy bleeding and it continued for 3 hours than it slowed down. After that day my period wasn't going well cause there was almost no blood then I contacted the pharmacist again and he told me to recheck your pregnancy after three days, if the result comes positive then use another 3 pills as directed. According to suggestions, I tested and it came again positive. Then I used 3 more pills (2 vaginally and one orally). This time my period happened well. Usually my period last for 4 days but now when I am writing this 5th day is on going. I am having pain and bleeding continues but not as liquid as regular, there I found some tissue like thing. I took a clofenac 50mcg for reducing my pain and took 3 civite ( chewable vitamin C tablet) cause I knew that Vitamin C can prevent excess blood flow. Then my bleeding become liquid and slower than before but the cramp of my lower part stays still. What should I do?

Hi and thanks for the query,
Heavy abortion bleeding cannot be taken lightly. However, the doctor could be better placed to objectively appreciate the intensity or severity of the bleeding. This could be due ti an incomplete abortion, and might require such suctioning or complete evacuation of the bleeding. Treatment options like drugs to cause uterine contractions to reduce bleeding (oxytocin, ergometrine) could be useful. But the vacuity of the uterine cavity (womb) must be ensured. An ultrasound scan and a clinical review by your primary care doctor would be sufficient. Kind regards
