My Toddler Fell And The Left Side Of Her Head Was Soft And Its Like It Had Water Inside
Hello, my 1 year old toddler fell from the chair and the back her head, she didnt become unconscious or even vommited after that she still act normally and healthy but i was shock when i touch the left side of her head it was soft it's like it had water inside it , but still no symptoms are showing but im still scared what if it's hematoma? what if it's slowly killing my daughter? please tell me what is it,?
hello welcome from healthcaremagic there are two types of head injuries.external and internal.External means to external skin or bleeding below skin but above skull.in this blood remains in this space for few days before getting reabsorbed.in this u will feel swelling from outside(hematoma),like in your case.You need to monitor whether it is increasing in size and hemodynamic status of child.Internal bleeding can be serious.It causes vomitting,excessive sllepiness,convulsion,bleeding from ear nose throat.CT SCAN IS NEEDED IN IT hope this might have decreased your fear regards
