My Wife Is Pregnant And Was Found Having Leucocitos 25 Leu/uL. Will It Affect My Baby?

Hi Doctors,

My wife is pregnant and she is in her 25th week. Today we had her Urine report and found Leucocitos 25 leu/uL . In general she is a healthy person and we didn't have sex at all during her conceiving period. I checked in internet which says Leucocitos 25 leu/uL is a urinary infection. I'm worried if this is some thing DANGER or UN Curable ? Will that effect the BORN baby ? Please clarify.

Hi. Don't worry. Your wife is having urine infection, which is very common in pregnancy.Tell her to take lot of liquids and get her urine for culture and sensitivity done. The report will be available after 48 hrs. After giving sample she can start with antibiotics as advised by her dr. and then further according to culture report.
This when treated does not cause any harm to the baby.
Thanks.
