Nausea, Abdominal Pain. May Have Diverticular Disease
I was initially diagnosed with a giant sigmoid diverticulum (2 CT scans) confirmed (6 cm) but the third CT scan revealealed everything was all cleared up;therefore resulting in an abcess diagnosis after all. I am sick again...not feeling well, nausea , pain in left abdomen , and I know I have diverticular disease . I spent a week in the hospital in March. My gastro appt isnt until the end of Aug. how long should I wait before either going to the ER or should I hold off until my dr appt. Most days I can keep going, but some days it is hard and my biggest complaint is nausea! Thanks. KH
Dear friend, welcome to HCM.
it looks like a bothering diverticulitis.
are you already on any regular medicine for that?
if you have disturbing, pain, diarrhoea, fever, nausea, vomitting, you should get an early consultation for a possible infection again a/ abscess. it may rupture with serious sequeale. if symptoms worsen , see asurgeon than a gastorenterologist. if appointment is difficult, go to EWR in emergency.
if milder, see your GP or physician first.
do not neglect anyway.
take care and keep me posted on your progress.
