Nausea, Thick Mucus In Back Of Throat Which Cannot Be Brought Out. Have Diabetes, Depression, Arthritis, Heart Disease, Obese. Help

Hi. I am a 60 year old female with diabetes, depression, heart disease, hbp, arthritis, sleep apnea, and am obease. I currently weigh 327 # and have lost 50 # within the past 6 months. I have lately began to be nauseated for no apparent reason. The back of my throat has a thick mucus-like feel but I cannot bring up an mucus. I am not congested nor do I have a cold.

Thanks for posting,

You will need to have the mucus tested for bacterial infection as it is often the cause of this. Putting all your symptoms together, it is possible that you might be suffering from an upper respiratory tract infection or a complication of a heart diseases which might require a course of antibiotics to get rid of it.
I suggest you book an appointment with a doctor who can do you a physical exams, run some tests including x-ray of the chest and probably provide you with treatment.
To some people, mucus production is normal and could mean absolutely nothing to worry about, but if yours is recent and disturbs your daily activities, it is best you get checked.
