Need Medication For A High Sugar Level Of 292

dear doctor. my father's sugur level is 292 random. he is avoiding all sweet things. and regularly taking medicien twice a day. his age is 70 years. i am woried, plz reply that is it very dangerous.

Hi, I had gone through your query and understood your concerns.

The blood sugar level you have mentioned is higher to normal. But on one value, we can't rely upon.
Try to check fasting and postprandial blood sugar levels. If they are higher in more than two occasions, then checking HbA1c value, which gives value of sugar levels for the past three months, You need to discuss with the treating doctor regarding increase of dose of medications.
