Need Medication For Itchiness Of Penis & Burning During Urination

My boyfriend & I had sex 2 wks ago & he told me that his penis begin to itch & there was slight burning when he urinated; I also noticed I has extra discharge. I had chylamdia 9yrs ago & I got it treated. Is it possible that I got it again? Before my current beau, I was sexually involved w/someone for 2yrs.

Hi there.
Yes I do think it is very possible that you both have contracted an infection.
From the symptoms though, it appears more like a 'fungal' infection & /or candidiasis or even possibly trichomoniasis.
What colour is your discharge & is there some 'fishy' odour to it or is it 'curdy' in appearance?
Please go ahead & do a routine Urine test & a vaginal swab for both chlamydia & gram staining & a 'hanging -drop' test to rule out any trichomoniasis.
In addition you could do a battery of STD tests to rule out any concomitant infections given you have been sexually active in the past & are unclear of the STD status. But Chlamydial infection 9 yrs ago may not be contributory to the current state of affairs.
Good Luck & do practice safe sex.
The treatment for all the conditions I mentioned is pretty straight forward once you have a diagnosis & do always remember to treat the partner & all the fomites used.
