My nine year old son was hit in the eye with a foot ball and lost vision for about 5 minutes, he then saw black green and red spots up until the next 24 hours. We have been to the hospital and have been told it has caused retinal hemorrhaging along with it being swollen and badly bruised. They have given him mydrilate and maxidex to take. We are to go back in 4 days, i am very worried for his outcome as they say he could develop a hole in the retina through the healing process. Please could you advise and give your opinion on this.
