Need Medicine For Dry Cough
My son is 4 years old and is suffering from severe dry cough. Mostly he coughs while he is sleeping at night. During the day time he remains fine. Doctor has prescribed him Protussa and Defcort syrups. Please let me know if this is the right combination.

I can understand your concern.
It is an anti histamine and a soft steroid. Probably he is having allergy or it could be acid reflux for which he will require to be examined in detail. If he is having other symptoms of allergy like running nose , sneezing etc. He will benefit from nebulizations.
