Hi,I am Dr. Amitkumar Sharma (Internal Medicine Specialist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hi, I am 31 years old, married for last 3 years. Recently I am doing my Postdoctoral research in US. ,I have been taking Crisanta LS for last 2.5 years due to my irregular periods and I m diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome. My periods are now quiet regular as expected however i am having drastic mood swings and irritation during this time. I could not control my emotions and therefore overreact a lot. I want to stop Crisanta becuase we are planning for a baby now. Therefore I need suggestions regarding this and want to know what type of side effects I am going to expect after I quit this drug after consuming it for such a long period of time. Will there be any complications on conceiving a child then? Please let me know the necessary steps that I must follow in order to get a healthy pregnancy. I am very much worried about this. Thank you very much in advance. I appreciate your consultation.
hello mam, you can quit your drug and go for a normal cycle in contact with a gynecologist so that your gynec can do the follicle study and take your cycle in control. the effects you are facing id due to the side effects of this drug. if your cycle goes fine then there will be no problem on conceiving a child. the long term effect will not be there once you conceive. if you don't have a normal cycle then there are other ovulating drugs that your gynec will suggest you and there are other options too like ivf or iui. thank you
