Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am a 57 year old female with low cholesterol, have never eaten fatty or fried foods, have eaten only a heart healthy diet all my life. I have been treated for hypertension for twelve years and come from a family with a long history of high BP and heart disease. My last two MRIs for problems with my cervical spine have shown severe calcification of my abdominal aorta, far beyond my years. My doctor has ordered a test for an aneuryism. What do you think?
thank for the question. If they suspect aneurysm they may ask for aortic angio or imaging. But you do not seem to have any clinical symptoms like severe pain in abdomen or dizzines or syncopy.it may turnout to be atherosclerosis only. Even then since your specialist suspects you may undergo the line of investigation and management
