As you had intercourse on the first day of the period the possibility of pregnancy is almost nil unless you are having very irregular periods. The possible causes of your present spotting and mild cramping are during the premenstrual period due to the fall in the reproductive hormones, spotting can be seen sometimes, which will gradually convert into normal menstrual flow.
Milld cramping can be seen during the premenstrual period due to pelvic congestion and acting of the uterine muscles. So you can wait and watch for a few more days you may get your regular menstrual flow by the time. If you are having previous regular cycles and any doubt regarding pregnancy, please go for a urine pregnancy test once to rule out the possibility.
