Hi, i had extra beats for 23yrs. I only experienced 6 in a row twice out of the 23yrs i had them. The 6 in a row come random. I had a echo done with the gel on my chest with the video. If i had a floppy valve (mvp) would that dect it?? How many extra beats r deadly? By the way how do i become a member. Do i could click on. Not getting my question answered.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Firstly, MVP can be detected on echo. Usually ectopics are benign and not worrisome. Nsvt and VT are dangerous, otherwise not worrisome. Should avoid coffee, smoking, alcohol. should discuss with doctor regarding starting beta blockers like Metoprolol which suppress ectopics.
Hope this helps you and get back if you have any doubts.
