Need Treatment For Pain And Fluid In The Shin After Hitting
about two weeks ago I fell and hit my shin pretty hard, there is still bruising there. The thing that is concerning me is that there is alot of fluid build up in my shin area and it stays indented when pressed on. Also there is numbness where I hit my shin.
As there was a direct impact over the bone at the shin area which has very less amount of muscle and more of the fascia there will be kind of swelling and the area will be quite painful.
Using hot water fermentation and keeping the leg elevated above the pillow in a lying position should help reduce the swelling.
On a safer note taking an x-ray should be advised as there might be hairline fracture which might need some bracing to avoid delayed healing and associated complications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
