Need Treatment For Reddish Purple Patch On The Heel Of The Foot.
Hello. A reddish purple patch, about 2cm x 1.5cm and made up of dots has appeared on the heel of my foot. The dots are dense in the centre and more sparse on the outer, so the edges look rather jagged. There is no pain or any sensation, and the patch cannot be felt with the fingers. This patch wasn t there three days ago. There are also some tiny brown spots near the back of the heel - I don t know whether or not they are new. Thank you for your help. Jennie.
It may be ecchymosis...means blood spread underneath the skin. It may be due to trauma. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis. It may vanish in few weeks. Application of thrombophob ointment might accelerate the recovery. Take vitanin C tablets for long time.
Hope this helps.
