Can I still be pregnant after 3 negative home pregnancy test? I recently found out I have a bladder infection. I have all the classic signs of pregnancy: tiredness, breast/nipple tenderness, nausea, mild cramping, bloating, headaches and off taste buds. could my bladder infection be messing with my test. Is this just all in my head?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Pregnancy depends on proper timing of ovulation and unprotected sex. Early pregnancy test may give negative result. Blood test for beta-hCG or TVS scan is more reliable and confirmatory. All above features are mostly associated with pregnancy.
Usually, bladder infection does not alter result of pregnancy test as it depends on beta-hCG hormone. Take proper medicine to treat the same. Drink plenty of water and cranberry juice. Maintain genital hygiene properly. Kindly, consult with your treating doctor.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
