No Growth Of Baby Seen In USG Report After Seven Weeks Pregnancy. Taking Ovutrig Injection Will Be Helpful?

Hello Madam ,

My wife 7 week 4 days pregnant but when we go for USG report show no growth of the baby .my doctor taking chance for more 10 days and prescribe ovutrig 5000 iu injection . so i want to know is these practice useful and such injection are safe for pregnant women s.

Please suggest .

Thanks for writing to healthcare magic.
if your wife has regular dates then by 7 weeks 4 days the fetus with heart beat should be seen.
In some cases either the dates are wrong or the pregnancy is not viable.
if wrong dates then repeat usg after 1 week should clarify the issue. inj ovutrig dosen't make the baby grow but it helps in supporting a on going healthy pregnancy. The injection ovutrig is not harmful and safe in pregnancy. I would recommend a repeat scan after one week.
