No Period After Unprotected Sex, Took Plan B. Pregnancy Test Negative. Had Pain Like Braxton Hicks. Pregnancy Chances?
I had my last period Aug.23 the following Fri I had unprotected sex took plan b on Sat afternoon still have not had a period have taken 6 pregnancy test all came up negative and I have no pregnancy symptoms. I do have three other children and never had a problem finding out right away and always got all the symptoms. In the last 24hrs I have had pain like Braxton hicks when I lay down don't know if I'm pregnant or not?
Hi and thanks for the query, It was reasonable doing the pregnancy tests. the source of these tests should be checked to be very sure that they work properly and that the interpretation is correct. Secondly, it might be worthwhile to do a pregnancy test with blood samples to measure the Beta HCG levels, and also and abdominal scan, to actually visualize whether there is a fetus in the uterus or not to be sure. In either case, it not surprising at times to experience missed periods while not being pregnant. Anxiety concerning pregnancy at times could explain this. The opinion of the obstetrician/gynecologist or your primary care physician while waiting could be helpful. Kind regards
