No Periods Since 3 Months, Bloating. What Are The Causes ?

Hi, I am 37 years old and for the last 3 months I am not having my periods, and I always have been regular (I am sure I am not pregnant). Also I am having heavy bloating for the past month, and in the last three days I saw trace of blood in my stool. I usually take care of myself, careful of eating well and exercise, and I don't really know what the causes are. I noticed I gained some weights, and I am more tired then usual, and sometime I need to be careful what I eat or I cannot really digest it easily and I get some cramps (like if I have pizza or rice, which was not really common in the past). Do you have any idea what could be? Thanks.

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

Irregular or delayed periods can be due to: (1) pregnancy
(2) menopause
(3)emotional or physical stress
(4) abnormal levels of thyroid hormone
(5)excess physical activity
(6)high levels of a hormone called prolactin
(7)PCOS which stands for polycystic ovarian syndrome .This is diagnosed if a woman has at least 2 of the following: signs or symptoms of increased testosterone, irregular or delayed periods and cysts on the ovaries

You may want to consider visiting your doctor for an evaluation which would include physical examination and blood tests to check the levels of various hormones.

I hope this helps
