Hello,
Doctor has prescribed your husband furosemide which is a diuretic agent. This medicine is mainly used for conditions like edema means swelling, heart failure, chronic kidney disease and sometimes for raised blood pressure also.As i said it is diuretic it causes increased frequency of urination. If your husband have no other any problem besides raised blood pressure then there can be many alternatives for treatment of blood pressure. So my suggestion is lets have visit to your doctor and tell the problem in details so that he may think of other better alternatives to his medicine.Hope this helps.
Thank you.
