Not Having Period For One Year. Suffering From Migraines, Hot Flushes. On Estelle. Started Periods. Pregnant?
I have been described estelle duet 2mg just finished first month . I have not had a period for over a year , been suffering from migraines and hot flushes hence doctor putting me on estelle duet 2mg but after a year of not having a period one has started today. So unsure if that means I am now no longer over the menopause or back to square one and also risk of pregnancy again because of the bleed, I am 51
I understand your concerns. If you started estelle for contraception and you had a period today I believe that you are not pregnant since you had the period. However, you need to consult an OBGYN to make sure that you do not have anything wrong going on in your genitourinary system that could cause you to have no periods. You may need extensive testing and the doctor will help with taking a history, doing a pelvic examination and determining what lab work and imaging studies you might need to have your diagnosis confirmed so as to have you started on medications or possibly surgery. I wish you the best in your recovery.
I hope this helps. Take care and have a lovely day!
