Noticed A Sentinal Pile Near The Fissure And Causing Constipation

Hi, I suffer from constipation and have done for years, I have an anal fissure which causes a lot of pain when I have bowel movements and I often bleed. I have recently noticed a 'sentinal pile' near the fissure which swells up when i have a bowel movement. is there anything that I can do to get rid of this like creams or medication without having to go to my GP?

Hello,
I can understand your concern for your symptoms.
Constipation is main culprit for everything in your case.
Controlling constipation will improve healing of anal fissure.
You can take stool softener or laxative to reduce straining. Also you can use local application of anesthetic ointment for quick pain relief and take anti-inflammatory medication to reduce inflammation associated with anal fissure.
Doing Sitz bath twice a day also improve healing.

Hope I answered your query. If you have any further doubts, i would be happy to help you.
Have a nice day!
