Noticed A White Scab On My Knee After A Fall. Do I Have To Cover It?
Hi. I fell last week when I was on my way to my room and I injured my knee. It s quite a big wound.I applied antiseptic cream. Its not bleeding anymore. However, after a few days, there is a white scab on my knee. The scab feels warmWhat should I do? Do I have to cover it or let it breathe ?
I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
The warmth in the scab means that it might be infected. I suggest using an anti inflammatory medication such as Acetaminophen to relieve the symptoms. I also suggest using an antibiotic cream for local application such as Neosporin cream. I recommend to cover it to prevent further infection.
Hope my answer was helpful.
