Noticed Blueish Red Colored Lump At Vagina Opening. Had Delivery. Could It Be Cervix Or Uterus Falling Down?
Last night after using the restroom, I noticed a lump of tissue that was blueish red in color at my vagina opening. It is not attacked the wall of my vagina and I have never noticed anything like that before. When I woke up the next morning it was not there. I am ten weeks post partum and had a rather difficult delivery. Could it be my cervix or uteras falling down?
Thank you for your query.
Yes this might well be the cervix you have seen. This is known as uterine prolapse and is a possible complication of labour. You must have a gynecologist attend to this as this can cause problems later in life. You do not mention your age or number of children you have, but this may effect future fertility, abnormal vaginal bleeding, discomfort and pain. I trust this information helps you to resolve the matter. Kind regards.
