Noticed Brown Spotting And Having Lower Back Cramp. Had Miscarriage. Pregant? Suggest
Hi,
I had amiscariiage in january and i think i may be pregnant again. Since the miscariiage my cylcles have been anywhere from 28 days to 32 days. My last period was Friday 17th may. Yesterday i noticed brown mucas spotting, today i have small amounts of what appears to be old blood. I also have a lower back cramp on and off and feel slight cramping in tummy on/off. Could i be miscarrying.
First of all, you undergo one blood test for beta-hCG and TVS scan to rule out possible miscarriage. Other reasons are pelvic/ vaginal infection, old endometrial tissue, hormonal imbalance, uterine pathology etc.
Following initial test reports, you consult with gynecologist to proceed next line investigation (for miscarriage) after clinical examination. Take suggestive measures accordingly.
Welcome to HCM. It is very early to say for miscarrying because sometime spot may come even in pregnancy on the cycle date. Keep watching.Go for urine pregnancy test after 8th day of missing cycle. If you have recurrent miscarriage than go for certain investigations like CBC,S.B12,S.CALCIUM,TSH,RBS,TORCH,Hormonal study and USG. Keep in touch with your gynecologist for better guidance and medical management.
