I have had braces for two years. For the past year my gums have swelled really bad on top. No one knows why it's happening. Very clean teeth. I got my braces tighten recently and the gum between my teeth is being squeezed really bad. What can I do to reduce the swelling?
Hello, thank you for consulting with healthcaremagic. Actually because of braces there is debris accumulation below the gums. Which a person is unable to clean with normal toothbrush. And this debris causes inflammation of gums because of which they are swelled up. You have to go for oral cleaning with a dentist, as he will do it with specialized machine which will solve the problem. Hope it will help you.
