Noticed Vaginal Discharge After An Unprotected Sex
Hi I have a question. I had unprotected sex exactly a week ago with my bf two days after my period and after having sex with him I started to get vaginal discharge that s brownish with a little bit of red. My period is due in 2 weeks. I ve been having this discharge for about a week. Is there any reason why it s doing this? And what are the chances of me getting pregnant? Thank you!
Hi, You seem to have been in the ovulation period as you are two weeks away from your next period, when the incident happened. Though intercourse soon after a period is considered safe, this is not so in case of shortened cycles, which you seem to have. So, in the current scenario, you have pretty good chances of getting pregnant. The cause of the discharge could be due to trauma along with clotted semen. You may wait for your next cycle and go for expert opinion if you miss it and if you see the spotting again, get a proper evaluation including a pap smear. Hope this helps.
