On Injecting Dexamethasone With Other Medication For Migraines, Severe Weight Gain. Help
I have been using this medication with other medication when having migraines. Usually every 2 week at 2 doses, some times more. Not often. Inject 1ML per dose of dexamethasone. I have been taking this new combination of meds for 4 months and I have gained 15 pounds. My eating habits have not changed. What can I do to lose weight. I have gained it all in my waist. I can't wear by pants any more.... I am a runner and nothing seem to work on losing these new 15 pounds. Please help me. Laurel
Normally dexamethasone excess would cause lipid accumulation in the torso or back of the neck but if you are sure that your waist line has increased as a result of dexamethasone usage , you need to cut down or probably not use it at all. The triptans are supremely effective to be used during the attack. it works for every two out of three people. You can use pain killers with it but adding dexamethasone to it especially if you are facing side effects like you are saying won't be a good idea. In between the attacks you can use beta blockers like propanolol for prevention of the attack.
