On Lyrica For Shingles Virus, Taking Tylenol For Pain, Need To Take More To Control Pain. Any Advice ?

I have been diagnosed with the Shingles virus. I am currently taking Lyrica two times a day and am self-medicating the pain with Tylonal 3s. However, alot of people are telling me I should request stronger medication to assist with the pain. For the most part Tylonal 3s are able to control the pain, but I do have times that they do not cut the pain. I have had Shingles for four weeks - going into my fifth week. I have had a total of 40, 60 and am now on the final 60 Tylonal 3's. What do you think? Should I request something stronger for the pain? I am a highly addictive personality, so that is why I haven't asked for anything stronger. Any advice?

hello, pregabalin is good option for nuralgic pain. But if u have severe pain then u can add tramadol or dextropropexyphene in day time &tab lyrica at bed time . Other options like nerve block & TENS can be try. My advice is this , that u should wait for sometime around 2-3 wks &if u have no relief than other option try.
