On Methotrexate For RA. Experiencing Acne Breakouts. Is It Because Of The Medication?
I am on Methotrexate for RA. I recently have been experiencing horrible acne breakouts...lasting a month. Is it the medication? I have been on it for about 2 1/2 years. Well, I haven't had any for about 3 weeks, due to scheduling the required appointments with my physician. I am concerned. I am 46 and this is just one more thing I don't want to deal with.

Methotrexate will lower your immunity and make localised skin infections more frequent.A consultation with a Dermatologist for managing the acne may help,you may also discuss this with your Rheumatologist.
