On And Off Pin In Lower Back Under Rib Cage, Cough, Phelgm With Blood, Difficult Urination. Concerning?

Hello, for a little while now I have had some pain in my lower back just under my rib cage that seems to come and go. Lately I have had a cough and sometimes in the morning I cough up lots of phlegm with blood in it. I also have just not had the energy I use to have for quite some time. I've also noticed that when I urinate it feels like I really have to go but only small amounts come out. I am only 20 years old and am a male. I'm wondering if I should be worried about these symptoms or if it's just kind of the common cold or something. Anything would be helpful thanks

Hi,

Your symptoms might be related to urine infection.

Get your urine checked with urine analysis and urine culture and sensitivity to get proper treatment.

I'd suggest to do the abdominal ultrasound too to determine the right diagnosis (urinary tract, genital and bowels investigation).

With regards to your phlegm with blood, I'd suggest to see a pneumologist and to do chest X-ray to exclude severe infection causes.

Blood could be because of the airways being inflamed, however, consult a pneumologist.

Hope it helped!
