On Eltroxin. Increased The Dose Based On My Lipid Profile. Have Reduced In Weight. No Diabetics Symptoms. Suggestions?

Dr, I am taking eltroxin 50 mg for the last 4 months. Before that I was taking 25 mg based in my test result in dec 2012. Based on lipid profile in april 2013 , similar to to the previous one, including having elevated TGL, dr advised to 50. My weight has gone down from 70 to 66 though taking lot of food and good appetite. No diabetics symptoms. Active and busy. Wht could be the reason for wight looking? Suggestions please?

Your doctor has rightly increased the dose of eltroxin .Hypothyroidism causes alteration of lipid profile and weight gain and your doctor might have increased the dose of eltroxin due to uncontrolled level of TSH. you didn't mentioned TSH level when you was on 25 mg of eltroxin.
weight loss may also be due to correction of TSH as hypothyroidism causes weight gain.
so, don't worry at all.
