On Methotrexate And Sulphasalzine. High Blood Pressure Levels. Due To Panic And Anxiety?

I have been taking Methotrexate for 3 years (currently by infjection) and my Rhuem. added 4 tablets of sulphasalzine daily three weeks ago. I am suffereing from instense anxiety...ended up at GP yesterday who perscribed Ativan and increased my dosage of hydrochorolitiazide as my blood pressure was very high. Is there
any possibility that the sulphsalazine could cause such panic and anxiety?

Hi friend,
Welcome to Health Care Magic
It is not likely / mood changes, usually depression has rarely been reported... / ‘Post hoc ergo propter hoc’ meaning "after this, therefore because of this" is not always true, but it may be wiser to give the benefit of doubt. If one wants to really check, may try to hold it / look for the problem / re-introduce - to check the feasibility!
It may be incidental / it could have other reasons...
     Discuss with your doctor...

Take care
Wishing speedy recovery
God bless
Good luck
