One Year Old Spitting Out The Milk After Drinking, Feeling Gassy. Is He Allergic To Milk?
my one year old keeps spitting up his whole milk and its a little more then spit up but when it comes up it smells like rotten milk. i thought it was the rice cereal i put in his milk but stopped that and he continues to do so. and he is very gassy other then that he seems fine. could he be having a reaction to the milk?
As your son is one year old and has started spitting/vomiting the milk lately I believe it is not milk allergy. Most probably he does not want to have milk and may be vomiting it out. Vomited milk does smell bad and is curdled. I suggest that you stop giving him top milk for a few days and observe. You can reintroduce it later in small amounts.
I hope I have answered your query to your satisfaction.
Dear parent,
Usually baby swallows milk along with air and more so in bottle fed baby.Soon after feeding give some lukewarm water and do' burping'till he expels air through mouth (Eructation). To burp the baby put him on your left shoulder and gently pat on his back preferably with a with lullaby because the need affection and love of the parents. Regarding medications-you can give drops of digestive enzymes such that NEOPEPTINE available in market after taking advise of your paediatrician.
GOOD LUCK!
