Open, Burning Hole In Sole After Using Corn Caps On Sole Of Foot. Any Thoughts?
hi I developed a corn on the sole of my foot. So i got myself some corn caps and used them for 4 days.....today i too it off and i believe the corn came out cus there was a hole in my sole. What do i do now? the hole in my sole is open and burns.....
You had a corn over the feet. With the application of the corn cap, the centre part of the corn has healed but it has developed an open wound.
Now since there are high chances of infection in the open wound, I would advise you to keep the area bandaged as far as possible. Clean it with an antiseptic lotion twice a day. Apply a topical antibiotic cream over it. Do not apply any other oil or cream over it. You might need a course of oral antibiotics if inspite of the above measures the lesion persists or increase in size.
