Hi ! Good evening. I am Dr Shareef answering your query.
If I were your doctor, the first advice you would get from me is to reduce your weight gradually by active aerobic exercises within your medical limits. This will also help you in combating your
depression and anxiety apart from increasing your
vital capacity which indirectly would also help you in some improvement in your asthmatic problem. The
high cholesterol level also needs to be taken care of and regular measured exercises could help you in this.
Regarding the
acid reflux, this could also be due to the obesity. I would advise you to raise the head end of your bed by one or two blocks, so that the reflux does not come up your
esophagus and throat. You should for a
probiotic, a
proton pump inhibitor, and a prokinetc drug regularly for some time. Apart from this, you must avoid alcoholic beverages and smoking in case you do, and both of these add to the symptoms of your reflux disease.
I hope this information would help you in discussing with your family physician/treating doctor in further management of your problem.
Thanks for choosing health care magic for clearing doubts on your health problems. Wishing you an early recovery. Dr Shareef.
