Hi,
You can start taking the medication even if you are still bleeding or spotting. In PCOD, there is irregular shedding of the endometrium and this could lead to brownish discharge that is observed. If you are anxious to conceive, you should get a complete work up including hormonal profile, trans-vaginal sonogram, tubal patency tests, glucose tolerance test and a partner assessment. Though natural ovulation does occur in this condition, it is irregular and hence, ovulation induction with proper monitoring is preferred. Hope you find this information helpful. Good luck.
